The final weekend of break was fantastic. Saw Dillon Francis for the sixth time and once again he did not disappoint. His openers weren’t that fantastic, a little too much hard dubstep. Not a fan but it’s what the people want I guess. One of the openers actually did a DJ/live set where he played drums and keyboard while mixing and messing with some synth’s. He was extremely talented but maybe he should have simplified his act a little more. Some of his last tracks were very good though.
Dillon was amazing. Everyone was into it and his moombahton section tore the roof off. Once again he played a lot of Skrillex’s new stuff but it was a really good set overall. He played until the very end when he was threatened with a $3000 fine for playing past curfew. He also broke up a few moshpits that broke out, wore Party Panda’s head and even played “Tequila” by The Champs as a love song to his favorite drink Patron. This guy is just too awesome. I also got kicked out of the venue for taking a drag of a cig from Elyse indoors, but like five minutes after getting kicked out the big islander security guard at the doors let me back in. Getting a heroes welcome from the Brochachos when I returned warmed my heart.
Best part of the night though was having Whitney, Bophary Ashley and my lovely fake girlfriend Gabby be a part of that crazy night. So much fun hanging out with them all, honorary Brochacho titles (for the newbies) are definitely in order if they keep on having fun with us. It wouldn’t have been the same without them <3
Today after work I got all you can eat sushi with Milli at Joe’s Sushi. It was pretty damn good and I don’t think I’ve ever eaten that much sushi in one sitting. Serious food coma afterwards, but it was worth it. Where’s our next food adventure Milli, they’re too much fun! :)
So that’s it I guess, back to reality. This was definitely the best winter break I’ve ever had, and it’s all thanks to the experiences I shared with my friends. Nine or ten shows, Disney trips, food adventures, shopping, partying and hanging out with the people you love. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Now on to a new academic year and many more adventures to come. And a new, even more epic Summer awaits beyond the horizon. It may just be the death of me…
Fuck it.
